What is vitamin D3 and K2?

The human body cannot synthesize these vitamins itself, but must be supplied with them from outside. Thus, humans depend on vitamin D3 and K2, without which the human body would not function.

How can I supply my body with vitamin D3 and K2?

Vitamin D3 is generally considered the “sunshine vitamin”. This statement refers to the general belief that vitamin D3 can be absorbed through the sun. This is basically correct, however, not nearly enough vitamin D3 can be absorbed from the sun. The reason for this is the already rather rare hours of sunshine, especially in the autumn and winter months in Germany, long working days indoors or the use of sun protection factor. But let’s be honest, without a sun protection factor, sunbathing isn’t particularly healthy either. Nevertheless, it has been proven that even a sun protection factor of 15 can reduce the absorption of UV-B radiation by 95 percent. Evolutionary changes, which make us spend more time indoors, do not allow us to absorb vitamin D3 from the sun.

It is also difficult to absorb vitamin D3 through the diet. So it suggests that many people have vitamin D3 deficiency or lower normal levels. Yet an optimal value would be an enormous health benefit!

Why is the vitamin D3 product from SJ-nutrition the best?

Basically, you will always find products, especially in stationary trade, which exclusively contain vitamin D3. However, this vitamin D3 cannot be optimally absorbed. Consuming pure vitamin D3 shifts your calcium levels, making it harder to absorb the vitamin. To protect calcium levels from shifting, SJ-nutrition’s product also includes vitamin K2. At SJ-nutrition, we naturally chose the best form of K2, MK-7, when selecting vitamin K2. Vitamin K2 from MK-7 has a significantly higher bioavailability and can be optimally absorbed by the body.
